Concept: Mobile App to help college roommates spilt bills and make it even for everyone.
Elevator Pitch:
- We decided to go with the first one.
For next class we came up with this Visual Presentation to show the class our concept, what our app features, elevator pitch and competitors. We have really thought about what our application will do and already have an idea of how were gonna start wire framing it.
Readings:
1. ) Mobile First, Chapter 3 (Capabilities):
Chapter 3 is about the capabilities that your phone can do even though you don't have the technology to do it up front. It's something you can tap into your phone and create it with the features your phone gives. For example by shaking your phone you could clear a sentence that you type and wanted to erase it.
2. ) Interdisciplinary Interaction Design:
- Content Inventory
It's best to create a content inventory when creating websites. This will help you stay organized and create your information into categories.
- Divergent & Convergent
Is a way to brainstorm ideas. Where divergent give you endless possibilities to explore new connections. Convergent thinking is to analyze those ideas and start to narrow down your conclusions.
- Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs
Maslow's chart is showing how people need certain things to be able to sustain themselves in life. The base consist of the necessities like air, shelter, food and water and the top is most self-actualization aspects like personal growth, problem solving and fulfillment.
- Shannon and Weaver Communication Model
Communication can be dealt in may ways. One way is through the Shannon and weaver model and thats is direct messages but sending the message to another person and them getting the whole message. Where Non-linear interactive messaging like texting where the message isn't completely clear.
