In Class:
Today, every group got the chance to present their ideas once more in a visual presentation. As a class we gave feedback and asked questions like "what if" in order to further elaborate on each groups concept. For my presentation we were asked questions such as "what if not all the roommates want to download the app" and "what if your roommates aren't being completely honest with the information". The way we tried to answer this question is by saying that our app would have an Honesty Act at the beginning of the app to make sure everyone including yourself is being honest with the information they give and make sure they are keeping to their word about making payments.Other questions we got were question like "what if this app could connect to your bank account" we thought about this idea as a direct deposit type of thing but it's something we pushed aside but could definitely put more research into it.
Matrix
Some of the apps we looked up were Splitwise, Rent.share, Bill Pin, Divvy, Advanced Bill Splitter, Settle Up, Conmigo, Splitter, Billr.me and SG Bill Split. We only researched so many decent apps until they became redundant and were exactly similar to the other apps that we found. Our biggest Competitor was Splitwise because they shared fairly similar qualities as our application. What makes us different is that we stick to college roommates and our profiles sync up in order to keep track of rent and utility bills. Where Splitwise covers a wide range of different expenses
The Pareto Principle: talks about how 80% of an interactive project is the user experience and the other 20% contains (visual design, front end development, server side and deployment or otherwise known as feedback)
Personas: Are a type of user that allows designers to predict how users will act and think. They can also help designers determine, communicate, and measure a products goal or usage.

Reasons why you should take in consideration when it comes to naming your application. Many companies have similar names already so it's hard to distinguish one from another which is why your name needs to be unique. Another thing that gets in the way when trying to come up with a unique name is making sure everyone can easily pronounce it correctly. It's also hard to make sure your app doesn't duplicate or sound to similar to another app so users researching your app don't get confused.
